Penguin Launches New Space for 16-19's - Choose Name Vote?

Pretty soon Penguin is going to be launching a new space dedicated to the book related things 16-19’s are loving. We’re talking author interviews, celebs, discussion, playlists, a peek into how our books came about and any other stuff you want us to make.
We’ve been talking to young adults about what this place should be called, and whilst we’ve whittled it down to a shortlist we really want you to pick the final name. We’re democratic like that you see.
If you have a minute we’d really appreciate your thoughts. Pick your favourite and the one with the most votes will become our new name.
So here’s the shortlist:
So why these names in particular you might ask? Well the teens we spoke to said they liked Platform because it felt like an interesting place they could go, it felt like they were being given a platform for their thoughts and because they read on train platforms. We also like it because our founder Allen Lane came up with the idea for Penguin books while standing on a train platform.
People liked Volume because it didn’t straight away make them think of reading – it reminded them of music but they liked that it was still related to books (they come in volumes after all!).
You can only vote once but if there’s one you really like please encourage friends to vote too (like any democracy we’re against rigging but a bit of lobbying’s all good!). The vote will end at 5pm on Tuesday the 24th of February.
Once we’ve got the name bit sorted we’ll crack on with the making part. Then we’ll pop back to let you know where you can find us.
Cheers and see you soon,
The currently unnamed team at Penguin
